I have been a client of Supportivity(121 CARE) for over 15 years, and the main thing is you are treated and talked to as an equal.

I really enjoy working in a job that helps other people and in being part of an organisation that tries in multiple ways in making someone’s day a bit better and easier. It is just so much better than working for an employer where the sole purpose is money.

Before I began my role as a support worker I was a little bit nervous about how I would go, seeing as it was a completely new industry for me. This quickly changed when I commenced the role. The rapport I was able to quickly build with clients has been enjoyable and rewarding. The supportive work environment in which I work has been a refreshing change of pace, it is really comforting to work with colleagues who are equally as passionate as I am about providing support.

This job is all about connections and supporting people to grow and live the life they want to. I realised working in this sector was for me because in no other job I have had, could I see the value in what I was doing everyday. Everyday is different and it is an honour to be a part of my clients lives in even the small capacity that I am.

Being surrounded by people who are really genuine, loving, caring, and seeing the participants living their life as independently, safely and fun as possible has really made me fall in love with this industry. I am passionate about supporting people with disabilities to lead their best life possible.

Working at 121 Care has been the best experience of my life, the people I have worked with whether it was as a support worker or administration have all been great people work alongside. I will be forever grateful to those who had faith in me and those who supported me along the way, because without them I wouldn’t be the person I am now.

As soon as I came in for the interview, I felt at home. I adore being part of an organisation that makes a real difference in people’s lives each and every day. I like to think that in my role, I can help those who help others and in a small way I am helping our clients.

I genuinely rate your diligence as the best in my experience, and our correspondence immediately following my initial communication reflects that (i.e. your SIL service lodged the reportable incident on the portal and informed me of such)…I really appreciate our working relationship to resolve complex issues, I wish there were more services like yours out there.
